Ed was born and raised in Grand River, PE where he attended Cross River School, then on to Miscouche High and Holland College studying drafting.

He then moved to Ottawa where he attended Algonquin College for two years and Carleton University where he studied architecture for four years. He then moved to Vancouver, B.C., working on various projects like hospitals and Expo 86.

He and three friends formed their own company. He became very successful, well-known and respected in his field.

Ed retired in 2013 and built a beautiful new home in Mont Carmel, PE overlooking the water where he enjoyed the stunning views which he proudly shared with his family.

He also loved his daily walks on the beach with his beloved dogs.

Ed’s siblings will miss, beyond measure, his many impromptu visits, his attendance at all family dinners, functions and holiday celebrations.

He loved meeting and socializing with people and especially enjoyed attending the Summerside Capitals hockey games.

Ed was always kind and very generous with all his family members, as well as his friends.

He was always so interested in his nieces and nephews’ lives and loved to tease them endlessly.

He also shared a special bond with his Aunt Louise.

Ed had love and companionship for his dogs over the years. His current dog, Forest, is missing his owner tremendously, as he always accompanied Ed everywhere.
