Obituary of Gary John Gallant
Gary John Gallant, age 65, passed away peacefully at home on July 17th, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Summerside, PE on November 12, 1958 to the late John and Margaret (Clow) Gallant, Gary was the beloved husband of Laura Cudmore, a loving father to Rachel (Corey) Kado, Caitlin Gallant, and Nicole (Ben MacInnis) Gallant, and the friend of a wonderful dog, Lucy.
Fondly remembered by his siblings, Florence (late Mike) O’Brien, Danny (Marion) Gallant, Wayne (Faith) Gallant, Jean (Donnie) Read, and Nancy (Simon) Hashie, his brother-in-law Jamie (Melanie) Cudmore, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Gary was predeceased by his brothers Vincent Gallant and Brian Gallant, his parents-in-law Gordon Cudmore and Myrtle (White) Cudmore, and his sister-in-law Michele Cudmore.
The family extends their deepest thanks to Dr. Pierre Whitlock and the Prince County Hospital oncology team, the Summerside Home Care team, the Palliative Care team and especially Palliative Care Coordinator Stephanie MacLellan, and Rev. Paul Wilkie for their dedicated care and compassion.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, where visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 19th, 2024 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. By personal request, no funeral service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary’s memory may be made online to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Summerside Home Care Program, or to an organization of your choosing.
