Laura and Girls...I am so sorry to hear about Gary. My heart broke when I was told about his death. Gary, Dave Gallant, Lynn and I had lunch together every day for well over 10 years. I heard about your trip to Iceland Laura...I listened to many stories of the Girls as they grew up. He used to call me Smartie and I would tell him about my many encounters with animals...both wild and pets. We shared many laughs together. I could tell by how he talked about you how much he loved being your husband and Father. He was an all round good guy and the world has lost some of its shine when it lost him. Keep your memories close and he will always be with you.

I have had the pleasure of being Gary's friend for 48 years . He was by far one of the smartest, funniest and loyal people I have ever known. Look up special Friend in the dictionary and I wouldn't be surprised if it said Gary Gallant . The world is a sadder place without you my Brother !

My deepest condolences to the entire family of Gary. I knew Gary and worked with him since 2010. What a great human being, always smiling and making funny jokes. Always answered my questions calmly no matter how busy he was. It was wonderful knowing him. God bless his soul and give the family strength to deal with loss.

I’m so heartbroken for you guys. No one comes close to how kind, thoughtful, supportive, and funny as Gary was. He, Laura, and the girls always made me feel like a part of their family. Thanks for always having a dinner place set for me (and for letting us rip around in the RAV4 listening to satellite radio)!

I remember going over to their house to play with “Micole” (Nicole) anytime I was visiting my aunt (their neighbour) in Summerside, I was always welcomed with open arms. I will forever remember the anticipation and excitement of the drive up just knowing I was going to see them. I will always have Gary and his family in my heart, thoughts and prayers. I thank you so much for being such a wonderful part of my life and family.

I want to express my heartfelt sympathy to Laura, Rachel, Nichole and Caitlin. I always felt, along with my late husband David, that we were part of their extended family. We were back yard neighbours and spent many times helping each other out. Every year Gary always came over and got our dirty garbage pails and washed them out for us. Gary helped us feed the birds over the years and was always there when we needed him. He was such a gentle soul and will not only be missed by his loving family but by his many extended friends and neighbours. God bless you Gary. May your soul have eternal rest. My family and I will miss you dearly. Thank you for being part of our lives. With love Betty Colborne

I was blessed to work at the Summerside Tax Centre with Gary for over 20 years. He was great team player and friend. Outside of work Gary and I golfed together weekly for years during the golf season. The Island lost a great man and I lost a great friend. My condolences to Laura and the girls.

I was blessed to work with Gary for a number of years at the CRA and consider him a good friend. We accomplished so much over that time thanks to his hard work, abilities and knowledge. Outside of work, we had the chance to golf a number of times and shared a lot of stories and laughs over the years. Gary was a family guy, a hard worker and a guy who made a positive impact on all of his co-workers. I still remember the time he came down to Rice Point for a day and helped me clean my parents yard up after the hurricane. That was the kind of guy he was and my parents really appreciated that. He will be missed. My condolences to Laura and the girls. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Please accept my sincere condolences. Gary's passing has still not registered in my head. I worked with him on CEWS at the CRA and it was an honour! A true gentleman, a hard worker, a proud family man and dog lover, Gary left a lasting impression. He always had a joke or nice thing to say, and would light up when asked about his girls. Gary, I often told you to make sure to take time to rest amidst the chaos, and now you're finally resting.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
