Obituary of Rheal Lacroix
The death occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and children, on March 16, 2024, of Rheal Darcy Lacroix, of Summerside, aged 58 years. Rheal was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to his late parents, Rheal and Joan (Dunbar) Lacroix. Beloved husband of Darlene (nee Jeffery) and loving father of Jory (Hayley); Madison (Colby), and stepfather to Madeline (Keenen). Also loved by his two dear pet chihuahuas, Pipa and Quito.
Lovingly remembered by his two granddaughters, Peyton and Marlo. Survived by his brothers and sisters: Suzanne (Paul); Corinne, Yvonne, Rene, and Andre (Brigid).
Rheal always loved being with family and friends, enjoying good food and drinks and was lovingly known for his sense of humor.
Predeceased by parents Rheal & Joan (Dunbar); daughter Sidney, and brother Maurice.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
