Enjoyed working with Rheal as he was a part of the team that supported WorkplaceNL. He was a joy to chat with on the phone and it was nice to put a face to his voice when he visited us several times. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to Rheal's family and work colleagues.

Rheal was loved and appreciated by my staff and I in the Toronto office of the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board. We always enjoyed his visits, and we could always count on him to get things done. He will be dearly missed by all of us in the Compliance Division, and we will discuss how we will honour him in our own office in the coming months.

Darlene and family, my deepest condolences on the loss of Rheal. Loved his passion for growing wine grapes. I still recall him getting his head shaved with some others at work. Lots of fond memories.

Rheal and I met as little boys who were not allowed to cross our street. We yelled to one another as we paced up and down Elm Street, dressed as Batman and Superman with our towel capes.
We became lifelong friends through elementary and junior high.We lost touch in our young adult years.
Darlene reconnected us when after many years she spotted my last name on my wife's Facebook.
These last few years we got to spend time
together as couples and get caught up on our respective large families.
His journey these last few years was fraught with many health challenges. He was stoic and strong
and continued to communicate his amazing sense of humor through cartoons and jokes.
Darlene and Rheal, set a high bar for love and caring on this journey.
I said to Rheal the day before he passed , i couldnt
remember who was who as superheros, when we first wore the capes of superheros as little boys.
I know now because of His amazing strength through these last few years he was Superman all the long.
RIP Brother.

This makes me so sad Darlene. The both of you were such a beautiful couple. You complimented each other and it was so easy to see your love for each other. I'm heartbroken for you. Sending you all the hugs and love I can and of course to all your children and grandchildren.

The love he shared with his wife, Darlene, was a deep and rare connection. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing, but his life on earth was undoubtedly fulfilling and whole, as he is one of very few who are lucky enough to be married to their soulmate. My deepest empathies are with the LaCroix family, friends and kin.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
