I was saddened to read of Judy's passing . I knew Judy and Ross when they volunteered at Prince County Hospital. I worked in the volunteer office up to October of 2020. We would sit and chat many times, She would mention her family often, especially her daughter and her granddaughter. She was a lady that you connected with and liked immediately. The sweetest kindest lady. She will be sadly missed by her family and all her friends.
Sincere sympathy Joyce Ferrish

Sorry for your loss and also sorry for our loss. We knew Judy (and Ross) for over 60 years. She was always kind and considerate and was a wonderful host at their home and cottage. I have two particularly fond memories: she was working at KMart in Dartmouth and had to report her car stolen one night from the parking lot. She gave the police a description and they laughed and said "lady, your car is right there". She was treated like an idiot. This car was almost identical but was not hers. The guy who had accidently taken it had a key that apparently fit both cars. She eventually got it back. The other incident involved me coming to pick Ross up for work (Navy). I put my big greatcoat in the closet and sat down. She asked Ross why he wasn't wearing his on a cold day and he said it was too long. She promptly got his coat and shortened it. The problem was that it was my coat that got shortened instead. She was so embarrassed and we laughed about it for years. Too many other fond memories to relate here. We sure will miss you Judy.

Dear Judy
Your smile always brightened a room . Each time i would take you down to the salon you would be beaming ear to ear. I would cut your hair and then ask " would you like me to curl it " and you would say whatever you think " . After I curled it you could see how special you felt and it was like you walked like a different person showing off your hair. I'm so happy to have gotten to know you the last couple years. There is another star in the sky shinning bright tonight . May you rest in peace. Love always your hairstylist Anna from andrews lodge xo

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
