Doug was a very close friend to the Nickerson family. As one of my Dad’s longtime best friends, Doug was like an uncle to my brother and I. There were countless family get-togethers & summer vacations to the LittleNickers camp. During these times, Doug would tell us stories of him and Dad when they served together on different ships, and the shenanigans they would always seem to get into, lol. His sense of humour and smile would always make us laugh and easily brought smiles to our own faces. I’ve always admired Doug’s deep connection with nature & the great outdoors; he made living on the land seem so effortless. In this respect, he was a mentor to my brother and I. We’ll miss his direct but sincere advice, his kind heart, his firm handshakes, and most of all his warm smile. Doug was truly one of a kind, a great man with a gentle soul; he’ll be deeply missed. Our deepest condolences to Anne, Jamie, Linda and family.

Doug Little...you will be missed beyond measure. I have soo many memories of our times spent together over the years. Fishing, hunting, four wheeling, making maple syrup, cutting wood, and anything connected to the big outdoors. But mainly, I will miss you for your big heart, your welcoming nature, your kindness, and our many conversations.
Rest in peace my friend.
Your brother in law Snappy

My sincere heartfelt condolences to the family and friends. Doug was a comical character and kind hearted. I was taking a power saw course in Debert and he had to tell me that I was done the course. He just sat there trying to figure out how to tell me. So I just said it's okay, I kinda knew that it was coming . And he gave me a big hug and I know he felt really bad about it. But I wasn't the only one that got sent home that day. Rest easy Doug.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
