Obituary of Arsenault, Nazaire Joseph
The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Monday, April 7th, 2014 of Nazaire Joseph Arsenault of Bedeque, P.E.I., aged 90 years. Nazaire was born on August 6th, 1923 in Maximville, P.E.I. to his late parents Camille and Leah Arsenault.
Loving father of Vonita MacDonald of Chelton, Faye Arsenault (Don Purich) of Summerside, Gerald (Beverley) of Ontario, Roland of Bedeque, Camilla (Tim) O'Hara of Ontario, Sheila (Gary) Hills of Ontario, their mother Brenda Arsenault of Summerside and sons-in-law Tim Fulton of Nova Scotia and Tom Brandshaw of Newton. Also lovingly remembered by 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Survived by his sisters Lorraine Arsenault of Montreal, QC., Anita Poirier of Summerside and special friend Edith Doucette of Summerside.
Besides his parents, Nazaire was predeceased by his daughter Pauline Fulton, brothers: Eric, Anthony, Delore and Frank Arsenault, granddaughter Sheena Bradshaw, son-in-law Ingham MacDonald and brother-in-law Pascall Poirier.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, April 11th, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in St.Paul's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Nazaire's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday afternoon only, 2 - 6 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
