Obituary of Noonan , Katheryn Mary
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summeride, P.E.I. on Friday, May16th, 2014 of Katheryn Mary Noonan (nee MacInnis) of Borden-Carleton, P.E.I., aged 91 years. Katheryn was born on March 6th, 1923 in Borden to her late parents William and Sophia (nee Carruthers) MacInnis.
Beloved wife of the late Leo Noonan and loving mother of Dianne (Mitch) Kennedy, Darryl (Mary), Barb (Ralph) Hudson, Sharon Noonan, Heather (Milton) Coles, Desi (Nicole), Paul (Karen), Terry ( Roberta), Marlene Noonan and Gary (Anna). Also lovingly remembered by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Katheryn was predeceased by her grandson Matthew, brothers and sisters: Margaret, Louisa, Charles, Harry, Frederick, Alice (Siddie), Anne, Eliza, Leland, Phyllis, Lu and Madeline.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday, May 20th, then to St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay for a funeral mass at 11:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Katheryn's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.
Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 10, Borden - Carleton will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:45 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
