Obituary of Gillis, Donnie Urban

The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Sunday June 15th, 2014 of Donnie Urban Gillis of Miscouche, P.E.I., aged 80 Years. Donnie was born on December 30th, 1933 to his late parents Urban and Clara Gillis. Beloved husband of Della (nee Bulger) Gillis, their daughter Ellen, his children Paula Martin(Ray), Michael (Brenda), Dawna (Wally), Giselle MacKinnon (Finton), Darcy (Marcela), his grandsons Colin MacLeod and Alex Martin and their families. Survived by his sisters Cathy (Bob)Adams, Holly Hill, his brothers and sisters in-law Stuart Dollinger, Cathy (Bill) Gillis, Ronald (Joy) Bulger, Carol Bulger, Darlene (Edwin) DesRoches and Linda Bulger. Besides his parents, Donnie was predeceased by his mother and father in-law Rosalie and Brendon Bulger, his sisters Margaret Gillis, Betty Dollinger and Eleanor Brown and brothers in-law Brenny Bulger, Al Hill and Picton Brown, sons in-law Dale Cameron and David MacLeod. Remains entrusted to East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Please note that visiting hours will take place at the family home 32 Lady Slipper Drive South, Miscouche on Wednesday from 2 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, June 19th, 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Donnie's memory to his daughter Ellen's education fund or the P.E.I.
