Obituary of Gallant, Robert Patrick
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, July 5th, 2014 of Robert Patrick Gallant of Summerside, aged 65 years. Robert was born on December 23rd, 1948 in Summerside to his late parents Cecil and Veronica Gallant.
Beloved husband of Sandra (nee MacDonald) Gallant and loving father of Tim Gallant of Alberta and Veronica Gallant of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his special niece "sister" Nancy Doucette, special pal "Lady" and several nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Audrey Doucette, Leonard, Alice (Joe) Gallant, Dora (John) DesChamp, Sadie (Joe) Perry, Doreen (Clayton) Gallant, Shirley (Lewis) Riley, Judy Bernard and his sisters-in-law Debrah (Roger) Whyte and Patrica (Gerald) Whyte.
Besides his parents and step father Peter DesRoches, Robert was predeceased by his brothers and sister Francis "Pinky" Gallant, Aubrey "Joe" Myers, Carl Gallant and Geraldine DesRoches, brothers-in-law Eddie Doucette, Brian Bernard and sister in-law Jean Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Memorial donations in Robert's memory to the Prince County Palliative Home Care would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
