Obituary of Clements, Olive Mary
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, October 30th, 2014 of Olive Mary (nee Blacquiere) Clements of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 89 years. Olive was born in Summerside to her late parents Joseph Blacquiere and Adele MacDonald
Beloved wife of the late Emile Clements and loving mother of John (Donna), Brenda, Richard (Ann), Anne (Brian) DesRoches, Paul, Vicky (Eldon) Arsenault and Olive (Nazaire) Richard. Also lovingly remembered by her 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Survived by her sisters Brenda Woolaver and Jeanette (Emerson) Ferrish and sisters-in-law Yvonne and Shirlee MacDonald.
Besides her parents and husband, Olive was predeceased by her step-father Brenton MacDonald, brothers and sisters Wilfred, Alfred, Joyce, Greg, Helen, John and Eric.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday November 3rd, then to St. Paul's church for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Olive's memory to the Prince County Hospital Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday evening only, 6 - 8 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
