Obituary of Adey, Horace

The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Monday, November 10th, 2014 of Horace Adey of Summerside and formerly of British Columbia, aged 92 years. He was a Veteran of World War II. After the World War, Horace spent many years serving in the Canadian Armed Forces as a fire fighter. He was born in England to his late parents Alfred and Annie Adey. Beloved husband of Gwen Adey and loving father of Carol Gosse (Danny) of Summerside and John (Irmtraud) of Germany. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Danny Gosse (Shelley) and Dia-Lynn Keough (Shawn) and great-grandchildren William and Daniel Gosse and Connor, Madison and Keagan Keough. Survived by his sister Nancy Williams of England and his niece Shirley Lentinello (Paul) of Toronto, ON. Besides his parents, Horace was predeceased by his granddaughter Kerry Ann Gosse. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. By family request, there will be no funeral service held, however visiting hours will be at the funeral home on Friday, November 14th from 2 - 4 p.m. Interment to take place in St. John's, Newfoundland at a later date. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the funeral home by members of both the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 5, Summerside and also 200 Wing, on Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations in Horace's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
