Obituary of Gallant, Ulric Joseph
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, November 13th , 2014 of Ulric Joseph Gallant of Summerside and formerly of Miscouche, P.E.I., aged 76 years. Ulric was born in Summerside to his late parents, Levi and Lily Gallant.
Beloved husband of Rosalie "Rose" (nee DesRoches) Gallant and loving father of Michael of Summerside, Greg (Colleen) of SK., Paulette Gallant (Donnie) of Summerside and Jeff (Sheri) of Miscouche. Also lovingly remembered by his 7 grandchildren ; Alex, Allison, Dylan, Adam, Dexter, Cassie and Gracie and several nieces & nephews. He loved to faithfully attend all his grandchildren's athletic activities, either in person or computer television coverage. Survived by his brothers Bob (Shirley) of Vancouver,B.C. and Paul (Ginny) of Georgia, U.S.A., and sister-in-law Dena Ries (Al Harris) of Moose Jaw, SK..
Besides his parents, Ulric was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law Tilman and Corinne Desroches.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, November 17th , then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche. Memorial donations in Ulric's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or to St. John the Baptist Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m..

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
