Obituary of Rogers, Theresa Florence
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, November 26th, 2014 of Theresa Florence (nee Pineau) Rogers of Summerside and formerly of Carleton, P.E.I., aged 87 years. Theresa was born in Rustico, P.E.I. to her late parents Amos and Agnes (nee Blacquiere) Pineau.
Beloved wife of the late Stanley Rogers and loving mother of Linda (late George) MacWilliams, Eric (Heather), Donna Coughlin, Gerald (Wendy), Gail Rogers and Joan Landry. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Georgina (late Charles) Cope, Alvin (Anna), William, Bill, Charles, Marion (late Fred) Howard and Vernon (Gloria). Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Theresa was predeceased by her son Kenneth, brothers and sisters Louis, Edward, Edna, Hazel and Lorraine.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, November 28th, then to St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay, for a funeral mass at 11:00. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Theresa's memory to the St. Peter's Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. By personal request, there will be no visitation held.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
