Obituary of Gaudet, Marion Elvina
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summeride, P.E.I. on Tuesday, December 30th, 2014 of Marion Elvina (nee Blanchard) Gaudet of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 79 years. Marion was born in Hope River, P.E.I. to her late parents Cornelius and Prescilla (nee Pineau) Blanchard.
Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Gaudet and loving mother of Derrill of Summerside, Lorna Gaudet of Summerside, Linda Brighty ( Eric Laforest) of Grand Falls, N.B. and Pam Gaudet (Carl McMurrer) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her granddaughters Ashley Brighty (Dean MacKenzie) and Aimme Brighty (Mark Buchanan), her three great grandchildren Dontay and Tanner Brighty and Anderson MacKay, step- granddaughter Tanya Laforest, special friends Norma Arsenault and Jean Blanchard, special family friend Johnny Veno and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her sister Eileen Gallant of Summerside and sister-in-law Louise Blanchard.
Besides her parents and husband, Marion was predeceased by her brother Douglas Blanchard and brother-in-law Francis Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, January 3rd, then to St.Paul's Church for a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Marion's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or St. Paul's Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday evening only, 7- 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
