Obituary of Letourneau, Peter Joseph
The death occurred peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital, Moncton, N.B. on Tuesday, March 24th , 2015 of Peter Letourneau of Summerside, P.E.I./ Moncton, N.B., aged 63 years. Peter was born in Lachine, Quebec to his late parents Paul and Beatrice (nee LeBlanc) Letourneau.
Beloved husband of Mary (nee McCarville) Letourneau and loving father of Krista Letourneau-Boyce of Calgary, AB. and Andra Letourneau-Peters of Stratford, P.E.I.. Also lovingly remembered by his precious granddaughter Isabella Boyce, his mother-in-law Jennie McCarville and numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by his brothers Roger and Robert and his sister Cathy Gautreau (Ben).
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, March 28th , then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Peter's memory to St. Paul's Church Cemetery Fund or the Liver Foundation of P.E.I. would be greatly appreciated. No visiting hours by personal request.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
