Obituary of Doucette, Margaret Mary
The death occurred peacefully at South Shore Villa, on Friday, May 15th, 2015 of Margaret Mary Doucette (nee MacDougall) of Crapaud and formerly of Summerside, aged 90 years. Margaret was born in Grand River, P.E.I., to her late parents Herman and Emeline (nee Peters) MacDougall.
Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Doucette and her first husband Roy MacLellan. Loving mother of Diane (Gilles) O'Neill and step-daughter Marion Kelly. Also lovingly remembered by grandson Garth O'Neill (Bonnie Vessey), step-grandchildren Gene, Cherly, Danny, Pat, Paul, Pam and Gary and great-grandson Craig O'Neill (Megan Nerbas) and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her brother John "JJ" MacDougall.
Besides her parents and husbands, Margaret was predeceased by her step-son-in-law Emmett Kelly.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, May 19th for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 p.m. Interment to take place in St. Peter's Cemetery, Seven Mile Bay at a later date. Memorial donations in Margaret's memory to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. until time of service.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
