Obituary of Arsenault, Richard Joseph
The death occurred peacefully at his late residence on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015 of Richard Arsenault of Summerside, aged 76 years. Richard was born in St. Nicholas, P.E.I. to his late parents Fred and Auldine (nee Poirier) Arsenault.
Beloved husband of Teresa (nee Gaudet) Arsenault and loving father of Della (Dale Cameron), Dean (Angela), Steven (Ivy) and Steven's son Durrell, all of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his 2 grandchildren Krista (Jeff Budd) and Taylor Arsenault, special great grandson Connor Gallant and several nieces and nephews.
Survived by the following brothers and sisters Vernita, Dyan (Doug) Cameron, Marlene Wright, Dennis, David and Nola.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, June 27th, then to St. Paul's Church for a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Richard's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
