Obituary of Blacquiere, David Keir
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Tuesday August 25th, 2015 of David Keir Blacquiere of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 73 years. David was born in Charlottetown, P.E.I. to the late Aubin and Genevieve (nee Burke) Blacquiere.
Beloved husband of Pauline (nee Gaudet) Blacquiere and loving father of Chris and Sean of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his grand daughter Kyra Doyle. Survived by his brother and sisters; Kenny (Judy), Paula (Donald) Arsenault, Karen Sharpe all of Hamilton, ON. and Barbie (Dany) Piasecki of Ancaster, ON.
Predeceased by his sister Cheryl (Wilfred) Grady and brother-in-law Al Sharpe.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Donations in David's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
