Obituary of Mayhew, Dorothy Mae
The death occurred suddenly as the result of highway accident in Bedeque, P.E.I., on Friday, October 9th, 2015 of Dorothy Mae (nee Hickox) Mayhew of Kinkora, aged 67 years. Dorothy was born in Millvale, P.E.I. to her late parents George and Muriel (nee Somers) Hickox.
Beloved wife of the late Brian Mayhew and loving mother of Connie (Darrell Buote) Sinclair of Alberta and Tammy (Randy Ward) Mayhew of Kinkora. Also loving remembered by her 4 grandchildren Chris, Ashley Dawn, Nyomi and Cody, her 2 great grandchildren Landon and Wyatt and several nieces and nephews.
Survived by the following brothers and sisters Ralph, Harold, Kevin, Albert, Lloyd, Marion, Anna, Carol, Linda, Cindy and Nancy, brothers and sisters in-law Alan, Michelle, Lyndon, Dale, Shirley and Janet, as well as father in-law Carl Mayhew and mother in-law Ella Mayhew- Smith.
Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy was predeceased by her sisters Lena, Bulla, Irene and Lorraine.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, October 14th, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment to take place in the Tryon People's Cemetery, Tryon. Visiting hours on Tuesday evening only from, 6 - 8 p.m. Memorial donations in Dorothy's memory to the Children International Memorial Place, Scales Pond would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
