Obituary of Noonan, Mary
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. Surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday January 2nd, 2016 of Mary Ellen Noonan (nee McNeill of Summerside, aged 95 years. Mary was born in Richmond, P.E.I. to her late parents James and Celina (nee Perry) McNeill.
Beloved wife of the late Walter Noonan and loving mother of Pauline (Jim) Cliff, Dorothea (Gardiner) MacNeill, Lillian (Claude) Goodwin, Tom (Wanda) Noonan, Kenny (Sandy) Noonan, Donna (Kenny) Steele, Joe (Marlene) Noonan, Kip (Cathy) Noonan, and son-in- law Billy MacLellan. Also lovingly remembered by 27 grandchildren 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Survived by her brothers Leonard McNeill and Jerome "Rommie" (Shirley) McNeill.
Besides her parents and husband, Mary was predeceased by children Jimmy Noonan, Rena MacLellan, Blain Noonan, her brothers and sisters Bob, Marjorie, Theadore, Agnes, Edmond and Gussie.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday January 5th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment to take place in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Mary's memory to the Palliative Care or Equipment Fund of Prince County Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
