Obituary of Wedge, Joseph Emmanuel "Roger"
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, January 5th , 2016 of Joseph Emmanuel "Roger" Wedge of Summerside, aged 60 years. Roger was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to his late parents Theodore "Ted" and Clara (nee Arsenault) Wedge.
Beloved stepbrother of Gerard Perry (Anne), Walter Perry and Donnie Perry (Brenda) all of Summerside. Survived by his sister Therese Grandy (Doug) of Bridgewater, N.S. and lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Roger was predeceased by his brothers Edmond and Alphonse, his sister Yvonne, his step-mother Mildred Perry-Wedge and his stepbrother Jack Perry.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, January 9th, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Church Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Roger's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 10:00 a.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
