Obituary of Durant, Everett Charles
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Saturday, February 27th, 2016 of Everett Charles Durant of Summerside, aged 71 years. Everett was born in Summerside to his late parents Leroy and Emily (nee Fitzpatrick) Durant.
Beloved husband of Vivian ( nee Mallett) Durant and loving father of Lisa (David), Cathy (Thomas) and Dean (Jennifer). Also lovingly remembered by his 6 grandchildren; Jillian, Chantel, Connor, Regan, Seth and Sarah and several nieces and nephews.
Survived by his brother Harold (Emily) and his Foster brother Stan Twerd.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request there will be no visiting or funeral service held. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Everett's memory to Epilepsy Association of P.E.I. would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
