Obituary of Murphy, James Milo
After a long struggle, James Milo Murphy passed away peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on April 8th , 2016, at the age of 77. James was the eldest son of the late James and Helen (Noonan) Murphy.
Beloved husband of Janet (Clark) and loving father of Gail (Gerald) Bryanton, Kathy (Terry) Brooks and Greg (Kellie) Murphy. Also leaving behind grandchildren Evan, Sara, Breanne, Madelyn; step grandchildren Tara, Erik, MacKenna and great-grandchild Logan. Survived by brothers and sister; Hal (Fran) Murphy, Dianne (Ken) Cheverie and Eldon (Debbie) Murphy.
Besides his parents, James was predeceased by his sisters Elaine in infancy and Syble.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Interment to follow in the Searletown Cemetery at a later date. Donations in James's memory to the PCH Foundation or the PEI Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
