Obituary of DesRoche, Walter Joseph

The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Wednesday April 13th, 2016 of Walter Joseph DesRoche of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 71 years. Walter was born in Summerside to his late parents Alyre and Rosie (Gallant) DesRoche. Beloved husband of Gail (Moore) DesRoche and loving father of Craig Gaudet, Staci (Lance) Pitts and Troy Gaudet. Also lovingly remembered by many grandchildren. Survived by his brothers and sisters Roger, Jean DesRoche, Patsy (Joe) Gagne, Paul (Linda), Sharon (Blair) Coughlin, Shelly McInnis (Sterling Jay) and Arlene (Ken) Bryanton, his brother in-law Bruce (Marjorie) Moore and sister-in-law Arlene Stuart. Walter was predeceased by his sister Joan DesRoche, sister-in-law Linda DesRoche and brother in-law Ken Stuart. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday April 15th, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Walter's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. By personal request there will be no visiting hours held. Members of the Summerside Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 5 will hold a Service of Remembrance on Friday at 1:45 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
