Obituary of Mullins, Joanne Mary
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Halifax infirmary, Halifax, N.S. on Wednesday April 20th, 2016 of Joanne Mary Mullins (nee Poirier) of Summerside, aged 69 years. Joanne was born in Summerside, P.E.I. to her late parents Louis and Irene (nee Arsenault) Poirier.
Beloved wife of the late Jim Mullins and loving mother of Gordie (Karen), Michelle Mullins, James (Gracie) and Kimmy Mullins (Blair Sheppard). Also lovingly remembered by 4 grandchildren Darian " Little Buddy", Ashley, Olivia and Spencer Mullins along with Breanna and Lauren Sheppard and special grand nephew Hayden Ward.
Survived by her brothers John (Margaret), Robert (Simone), sister in- law Shirley Poirier, brothers-in-law Ron (Pat) Mullins, Danny (Barb) Mullins, Sandy (Peggy) MacDonald and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents and husband, Joanne was predeceased by her brothers Louis and Aurele.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday April 25th, then to St. Paul's Church for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Joanne's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday evening from 6 - 8 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
