Obituary of Broome, Muriel Ann
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Thursday April 28th, 2016 of Muriel Ann Broome (nee Doucette) of Chelton, P.E.I. and formerly of Rustico, aged 70 years. Muriel was born in Rustico, to her late parents Ralph and Alvina (nee Blacquiere) Doucette.
Loving mother of John (Tara), Glenda (Allan Douglas), Melissa (Brian) Sobey, Vanessa (Desmond) Mahar. Also lovingly remembered by her 6 grandchildren Parker, Paige, Kristion, Kloe, Martina, Martin and 2 great grandchildren Lydia and Keaton.
Survived by her sisters Shirley (Gerald) Ford, Rose (Ron) Kilcup, Dorothy (Charlie) Betts and brother in-law Ralph Maillet.
Predeceased by her sister Eleanor Maillet and twin brother Merrill "Fletch" Doucette.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Donations in Muriel's memory to the P.E.I. Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
