Obituary of Gallant, Joseph "Daniel"
The death occurred peacefully at the Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, NS., on Thursday June 9th, 2016 of Joseph "Daniel" Gallant of Summerside, aged 75 years. Daniel was born in Miscouche to his late parents Leslie and Lillian (nee DesRoches) Gallant.
Survived by brother and sisters Alfred (Laura) Gallant, Pauline Reivonen, Janet (Ian) Crockett and brother-in-law Roy Arsenault.
Besides his parents, Daniel was predeceased by his sister Mary Arsenault, a brother and sister in infancy, brother-in-law Robert Reivonen and nephew Tommy Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, June 13th for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Daniel's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Interment to take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche at a later date. Visiting hours on Sunday evening from 6 - 8 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
