Obituary of MacArthur, Mildred Mary Anne
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday July 28th, 2016 of Mildred Mary Ann MacArthur of Summerside, aged 70 years. Mildred was born in Elmsdale, P.E.I. to her late parents Ralph and Hazel (nee Shaw) MacArthur.
Survived by her sister Mabel (Marty) Dalton, Summerside, brother Hugh MacArthur, Summerside, nephew Lloyd (Lynda) Baglole, Southwest, Lot 16, great niece Alexis (Brad) Richards, Alberton, cousins Amy MacArthur and Ollie (Lorring) DesRoches and several cousins.
Besides her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her brother Ralph MacArthur.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Saturday July 30th, 2016 then to the Summerside United Pentecostal Church for a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the Alberton Pentecostal Cemetery, Brooklyn. Memorial donations in Mildred's memory to the Summerside United Pentecostal Church or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday evening from 6 - 8 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
