Obituary of Bernard, Mary Ann
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016 of Mary Ann Bernard (nee Richard) of Summerside, aged 98 years.
Beloved wife of the late Leo Bernard and lovingly remembered by her son-in-law Pete Peterson, granddaughter Amanda Peterson, great grandchildren Nicholas and Taylor Borouski.
Survived by her brothers Henry and Sylvian (Sophie), sister Frances Richard and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mary Ann was predeceased by her children Robert, Henry and Anita Peterson; brother and sisters Alyre, Irene Richard, Viola (Gerald) Perry and sister-in-law Margaret.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, August 8th, then to St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Mary Ann's memory to the PCH Foundation would be appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.
Members of the St. Paul's CWL will hold a prayer service on Sunday afternoon at 1:45 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
