Obituary of Gunning, Freda Rosella
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, September 11th, 2016 of Freda Rosella Gunning (nee Muttart) of Summerside and formerly of Travellers Rest, P.E.I., aged 82 years. Freda was born in Albany, P.E.I. to her late parents William and Lavina (nee MacFarish) Muttart.
Beloved wife of the late Wesley Gunning and loving mother of Wendy of Summerside and Paul of Travellers Rest. Also lovingly remembered by her sister Marlene Dutcher of London, ON., her 7 grandchildren; Holly (Mitch), Kyle, Wil, Megan, Tracy (Jimmy), Jenny and Christa (Mike), her 6 great-grandchildren Gabrielle, Aurora, Ilona, Grayson, Dominic and Isabella, her brother-in-law Elton (Joan) Gunning and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Freda was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, where a funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m.. Interment to follow in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Freda's memory to the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday evening only, 5 - 8 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
