Obituary of Gaudet, Maria
The death occurred peacefully at Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I., on Friday, December 23rd, 2016 of Maria Gaudet of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 75 years. Maria was born in Springhill, NS to her late parents John and Elsie Merry.
Beloved wife of the late Johnny Joseph Gaudet.
Loving mother of Bobby, Toronto, ON and grandmother to Krysten and Dalton. Survived by her brother Mike, Toronto, ON and sister Betty Lou, Tweed, ON, brothers and sisters-in-law Freddy Gaudet, Ronald (Olivine) Gaudet, Julia (Bob) Enman and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her mother and husband, Maria was predeceased by her son Johnny, brothers Buddy, Pat, Freddie and sister Nan.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. Following cremation, interment will take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Maria's memory to P.E.I. Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
