Obituary of MacAusland, Roberta "Jean"
God has taken another Faithful Servant home.
The death occurred suddenly at home of Roberta "Jean" MacAusland (Nee MacKay), age 76, of Clermont, PE on Sunday, December 25th. Jean was a loving Christian Mother to her children. She always enjoyed having a cup of Tea with family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Robina (Cameron) MacKay and David MacKay of New Annan.
Jean leaves behind those that will miss her greatly her children Geraldine (Steve) Dixon, Darrell (Anne), Lee (Phyllis), Tammy (Paul), Twila (Gerald) Arsenault, April (Blair) Marsh, daughter-in-laws Amelia and Jennifer. Also 22 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Brothers Ellery (Doris), Eldon (Marjorie), Reg (Faye), Jimmy, Sisters Helen Dawson and Rita Annand and extended family in McAdam in N.B. She was pre-deceased by her husband Gerald and sons Thane, Clinton, Geoffrey, daughter Sarah and Grandson Arron, brothers Bruce, Edgar, John and sister Fran Paynter.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside until Thursday, December 29th then to the United Pentecostal Church on Pope Rd, Summerside for a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the funeral expense fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
