Obituary of Konderson, Addie Winnifred
The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, January 10th, 2017 of Addie Winnifred (nee Halliwell) Konderson of Summerside and formerly of Hampton, aged 96 years. Addie was born in Springton, P.E.I. to the late William and Flora (nee MacDonald) Halliwell.
Beloved wife of the late Marshall Konderson and loving mother of Isabel (Paul) MacWilliams. Also lovingly remembered by her grand daughter Kate MacWilliams, several beloved nieces and nephews and other extended family in Canada, Poland, Ukraine and the U.S.A.
Besides her parents and husband, Addie was predeceased by her brother and sisters Annie (Ivan) Kennedy, Bessie (Robert) McDonald, Sadie (James) Nicholson and William (Sadie June) Halliwell.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, January 14th, then to the Summerside Presbyterian Church for a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place in Springton Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flower, memorial donations in Addie's memory to Springton Cemetery or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday from 2- 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
