Obituary of Arsenault, Joseph James Richard
The death occurred peacefully with family by his side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, January 29th, 2017 of Joseph James "Richard" Arsenault of Summerside, aged 73 years. Richard was born in Summerside to his late parents Raymond and Mary Ann (nee Luke) Arsenault.
Beloved husband of Florence (nee Power) Arsenault and loving father of Tanya (Ray) Guy and Terence (Monica) Arsenault. Also lovingly remembered by three grandchildren Cayden and Liam Guy, Miai Arsenault and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by his brother Stacy Arsenault.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, February 1st, from where a service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Church Cemetery, Summerside following the funeral service. Memorial donations in Richard's memory to Palliative Home Care would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
