Obituary of Rogers, Arnold James
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Saturday, April 15th, 2017 of Arnold James Rogers of Bedeque, P.E.I., aged 80 years. Arnold was born in Fernwood, P.E.I. to the late Leighen and Marion Rogers.
Special friend of Carol McFarlene and loving father of Donna Baglole (Merrick), James Rogers (Suzanne), Colleen MacLeod (Wayne), Cordellia Campbell (Nelson), Nancy Rogers (Chad), Sheldon Rogers (Jackie), Douglas Rogers, Lisa Gallant (Victor), Catherine Rogers (Bill) and Norris Rogers (Fran). Also lovingly remembered by 26 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Survived by the following brothers and sisters Faye Malone, Judy Stewart (Bruce), Florence Stewart (Lester), Arthur Rogers (Jessie), Roy Rogers (Diane), brothers in-law Luke Duffenais and Judd McCourt.
Predeceased by his wife Eliza (nee DesRoches) Rogers, son Wayne Rogers, sisters Velda McCourt, Vera Mayhew, Shirley Duffenais, brothers Gordon and Wilfred.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, April 20th, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations in Arnold's memory to the IWK Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday evening from 6 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
