Obituary of Waddell, Blair "Leigh"
The death occurred at his late residence on Wednesday, April 26th, 2017 of Blair "Leigh" Waddell of Augustine Cove, P.E.I. and formerly of Cape Travers, P.E.I, aged 60 years. Leigh was born in Summerside to his parents Rufus and Georgina (nee MacKenzie) Waddell.
Survived by his brother Gordon (Brenda), sister Heather (Reggie) Caseley, nephew Andrew (Jennifer) Caseley and great nephew Andy Caseley.
Predeceased by his brother Bonnie Dale Waddell (in infancy).
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, May 1st, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place in North Tryon Presbyterian Cemetery. Memorial donations in Leigh's memory to the North Tryon Presbyterian Cemetery, North Tryon would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
