Obituary of Durant, Vivian
The death occurred at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I., on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 of Vivian (nee Mallett) Durant of Summerside, aged 73 years. Vivian was born in Summerside to her late parents Alphonse and Lucy (nee Doucette) Mallett.
Beloved wife of the late Everett Charles Durant and loving mother of Lisa (David), Cathy (Thomas) and Dean (Jennifer). Also lovingly remembered by her 6 grandchildren; Jillian, Connor, Regan, Seth, Sarah, Chantel and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Vivian was predeceased by her sister Lorraine (Raymond) Giroux.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. By personal request there will be no visiting or funeral service held. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Vivian's memory to P.E.I. Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
