Obituary of Daigle, Marie Clarisse
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Sunday, July 9th, 2017 of Marie " Clarisse" (nee Bernard) Daigle of Summerside, aged 89 years. Clarisse was born in Egmont- Bay, P.E.I. to the late Emelien and Ida (nee Cormier) Bernard.
Beloved wife of Edmond Daigle and loving mother of Monette, Nicole (Mark) Butters and Rheal. Also lovingly remembered by her 2 grandchildren Lauren and Tyler. Survived by the following sisters Rosie Gallant, Bina (Fred) Arsenault, Louise (Leo) Poirier, Marguerite (Des) Arsenault, sister-in-law Antoinette Bernard and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Clarisse was predeceased by her sisters Marie (Albin) Richard, Melina (Hank) Landry, brother Henry Bernard, brothers-in-law Jerome Gallant and Fidele Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, July 14th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Clarisse's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours Thursday evening from 6 - 8 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
