Obituary of Skerry, Katherine "Kathy"
The death occurred peacefully with her loving family by her side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, August 17th, 2017 of Katherine "Kathy" (nee Dillon) Skerry of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 63 years. Kathy was born in Lillooet, BC. to her late father Norton Dillon and her mother Bernice Dillon.
Beloved wife of George Skerry and loving mother of Corilyn and Crispen (Mark) Drysdale. Also lovingly remembered by her two grandchildren Porter and Sadie.
Survived by her brothers and sister Bill (Laurie), David (Marilyn), Dan (Cathe) and Marie (Pat) Boersma, mother in-law Marjorie, father in-law Eric, sister in-law Carolyn, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, Kathy was predeceased by her daughter Taryn and son James (in infancy).
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. A memorial service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 20 Taylor Rd., North Bedeque, on Saturday, August 26th at 2:00 P.M. Private interment to take place at a later date. Memorial donations in Kathy's memory to Diabetes Canada, PEI Heart and Stroke Foundation or Watchtower Society would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
