Obituary of O'Pray, David Wayne

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the sudden passing of David Wayne O'Pray, of Summerside PE, at Prince County Hospital, Tuesday January 11, 2022. Predeceased by his parents, Helen and George O'Pray, he leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years, Lynne O'Pray (Durkee), his children Kelly Gray (Robert ) of Fredericton NB, David Wayne O'Pray (Shelly) of Fredericton NB, Tammy Forget (Steve) of Thompson MB, and Shawn O'Pray (Sherry) of Summerside PE; his siblings, Darrell O'Pray of Moncton NB, and Carol Eustace (Paul) of Truro NS. Also sister-in law Beth Durkee (Alan Eustace) of Wentworth N.S. And brother-in-laws Alan Durkee (Ellen) of Middle Stewiack N.S., and Scott Marshall of St. John's NFLD (predeceased by Judy). He also leaves behind eight beloved grandchildren: Robbie (Tessa), Katie (Mike), Krista (Mark), Adrienne (Channing), Kelsey (Mitch), Karly (Luke), Jessica and Joseph. And eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Dad/David was an avid storyteller and loved to challenge his children and grand children minds with trivia. Was an avid bowler, and a huge Montreal Canadians fan and loved building his models. The family would also like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Prince County Hospital for their excellent care of David. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation, or the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
