Obituary of McAlduff, Edward Joseph
The death occurred peacefully with family by his side at Clinton View Lodge, Clinton, P.E.I. on Sunday November 26th, 2017 of Edward Joseph McAlduff of Clinton view Lodge, Clinton, P.E.I., aged 95 years. Edward was born in Waterford, P.E.I. to the late George and Ella (nee Shea) McAlduff.
Beloved husband of the late Priscilla (nee Shea) McAlduff and loving father of Judy (Keith) Broderick, Summerside, Fay (Bob) Gavin, Summerside, Tommy (Bonnie), Darnley, Susan (Ron) Stanley, Summerside and Daughter in-law Brenda McAlduff, Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by 9 grandchildren Scott, Brent, Alan, Kelly, Ryan, Kristi, Sarah, Jessie and Emma, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Survived by his sister-in-law Genevieve McAlduff.
Besides his parents and wife, Edward was predeceased by his son Paul, brothers and sister Lester (Catherine) McAlduff, Rita (Jim) Shea and George McAlduff.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, November 29th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Edward's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4 - 7 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
