Obituary of Coughlin, Olive
The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside on Thursday, November 30th, 2017 of Olive (nee Dalton) Coughlin of Summerside and formerly of the Brae, P.E.I., aged 87 years. Olive was born in Coleman, P.E.I. to her late parents, Jeremiah and Alice (nee Adams) Dalton.
Beloved wife of the late Everett Coughlin and loving mother of Clayton (Louise) of Fortune Cove, Charles (Judi) of Grand Prairie, AB, and Lorena (Joey) Sonier of Summerside. Also loving remembered by her grandchildren Margo, Jana, Jolene (Mark), Jenna (Francois), Matthew (Stephanie) and Kristoffer, her great-grandchildren Mallory, Emma, Romy, Amira, Athena, Phoebe, Maggie-Olive, Sophie and Chanelle and several nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.
Besides her parents and her husband, as the last surviving member of her family, Olive was predeceased by her brother and sisters.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Sunday, December 3rd, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Olive's memory to People's Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. No visiting hours by family request.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
