Obituary of Albert, Joseph Peter
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, December 7th, 2017 of Joseph "The Fiddler" Albert of Summerside and formerly of St. Edward, P.E.I., aged 90 years. Joseph was born in St. Edward, P.E.I. to the late Henry and Katherine (nee Gaudet) Albert.
Beloved husband of the late Stella (nee Dugay) Albert and loving father of Raymond (Julie), Stoney Creek, ON., Rayburn (Patricia) Summerside, David (Leslie), Alberton, Nelson (Wendy), Junior (Helen), Geraldine (Gerry) DesRoches all of Summerside, Ivan (Shelley) Etobicoke, ON., Christine (Wayne) Gallant, Marlene (Danny) Clow, Eric (Darlene), Darlene Schurman all of Summerside and Charlene Clow, Miscouche. Also lovingly remembered by 34 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Survived by his brothers and sisters Dora (Tommy), Claudie (Julia), Gloria, Ronnie (Pauline), Carol (Owen), Aurella (Gerry), Marie, Steven (Donna) and Pat.
Besides his wife and parents, Joseph was predeceased by his son-in-law Chuckie Clow and several brothers and sisters.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, December 9th, from where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul's church cemetery. Memorial donations in Joseph's memory to Wedgewood Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
