Obituary of Thomas, John Lloyd
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, December 10th, 2017 of John Lloyd Thomas of Summerside, aged 76 years. John was born in St. Eleanor to the late John and Ada (Windchester) Thomas.
Beloved husband of Joanne (Razavet) Thomas and loving father of Jacqueline Clark, Darlene Thomas, Natalie (Mike) MacKay, Trevor (Kellie) Thomas and Nicole Baglole (Justin). Also lovingly remembered by his 6 grandchildren Dawn Marie, Desiree, Thomas, Brianne, Nash, Brook and 1 great grandchild Ashlyn.
Survived by his brothers and sisters Alvin, Grace Razavet, Myrtle MacLean, Joe (Anne), sister in-law Betty Lou MacDonald, brothers in-law Stewart (Rose) Razavet, Lee MacLeod and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his brother Claude, sister Debbie, mother and father in-law Ralph and Elizabeth Razavet, brothers in-law James Razavet, Vincent MacLean and Raymond MacDonald, sisters in-law Jean "Ruby" and Lynn MacLeod.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, December 13th, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 P.M. Interment to take place in the People's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in John's memory to P.E.I. Lung Association would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
