Obituary of Hashie, Urban Andrew
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, December 20th, 2017 of Urban Andrew Hashie of Summerside and formerly of Richmond, P.E.I., aged 83 years. Urban was born in St. Hubert, P.E.I. Son of the late Austin and Sophie (Arsenault) Hashie.
Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Noonan) Hashie. Survived by his brother Raymond Hashie, sister Rose Coughlin, sisters in-law Doreen and Edna Hashie and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, Urban was predeceased by his brothers Johnny, Alfred, Joseph, Clarence (Bridgette) Hashie, his sister Anna (infancy) and brothers in-law Eric Bernard and Gilmore Coughlin.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, December 23rd, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donation's in Urban's memory to the Prince County Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Saturday from 9:30 until 11:15 a.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
