Obituary of Gaudet, Ernest "Ernie" Joseph
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by loving family members at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, December 27th, 2017 of Ernest "Ernie" Joseph Gaudet of Summerside P.E.I., aged 55 years.
Ernie was born in Summerside to his parents Claude and Flo Gaudet. Besides his parents, Ernie is survived by his sisters Claudette (Wayne) Getson of O'Leary, Karen (Kevin) Morrell of Miscouche, and Donna (Ron) Dehmel of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Courtney, Bryanna, Ben, Matthew, Morgan, Mariah, and Emmanuel and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his step-nephew Lucas Getson.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, December 29th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 2:30 p.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Ernie's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday evening only, 6 - 8 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
