Obituary of McIntosh, Betsy Rose
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Sunday, January 14, 2018 of Betsy Rose McIntosh (nee Smith) of Summerside, PEI and formerly of Winnipeg, Manitoba, aged 100 years. Betsy was the daughter of the late George and Bertha (nee Wolstenholme) Smith.
Beloved wife of the late William McIntosh and loving mother of Diane (Ed) Williams, Fernwood PEI and Gordon (Loretta) McIntosh, Naples, Florida. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Gordon (Nannette) Williams and their children Ben and Isabelle; Grant (Sarah) Williams; Saralyn (Paul) Cantlon and her children Alyson and Noah Petsche and Heather (Ken) Walker and children Nathaniel and Elijah; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Survived by sisters-in-law Jean Smith, Diana McIntosh and Norma Ward. Predeceased by sisters Alice (Eldon) Glenn and Helen (Herb) Hutchinson, brothers George (Pat) Smith, Bill (Leitha) Smith, Bob (Mary) Smith, Joe (Jean) Smith and Jim Smith, brothers and sisters-in-law Isabel McIntosh, Lyall (Peg) McIntosh, Grant McIntosh and Vernon Ward.
Memorial donations in Betsy's memory to the PCH Foundation, PEI or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Betsy's family would like to send a special word of Thanks to Dr. John Morash and the wonderful nurses of the Nursing Surgical Ward for the care they took of Mom. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held, interment in Manitoba to take place at a later date.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
