Obituary of Gaudet, Benoit "Ben" Ronald
The death occurred peacefully with family by his side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, April 10th, 2018 of Benoit "Ben" Ronald Gaudet of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 89 years. Ben was born in St. Raphael, P.E.I. to the late Edmond and Delima (Gallant) Gaudet.
Survived by Corinne, his loving wife of 62 years, his children Michael (Pat), Victoria BC., Darlene, Belmont, Cathy, Summerside, Douglas, Victoria, BC. and Gregory (Heather), Amherst, NS. Also mourning his loss are his grandchildren Christopher (Loren), Kathleen (Andrew), Liam, Ethan (Elizabeth) and Ellen and one great grandchild August.
Survived by his brothers and sisters in-law Clarence Gallant, Rose (Peter) Arsenault, Ernest (Judy) Arsenault, Abel (Gloria) Arsenault, Louise (Frank) Hammond, Cecile Pineau, Huguette Arsenault, numerous nieces and nephews and special devoted friends.
Ben was a gentle man and a devoted husband and father. He will be missed but not forgotten. Besides his parents, Ben was predeceased by his brothers and sisters Leonard, Edward, Wesley, Alcide, Nelda, Amanda, Marie, Dolor and Anita.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, April 14th then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in Notre Dame de Mont- Carmel Cemetery, Mont- Carmel at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ben's memory to the Prince County Hospital Medical Unit or Notre Dame de Mont-Carmel Cemetery would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday from 5 - 8 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
